Congregational Hymn
1. Blessed assurance — Jesus is mine !
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine !
Heir of salvation, purchase of God ;
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long ;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long.
2 Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture burst on my sight ;
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
3 Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Saviour am happy and blest ;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
Minister's Introdution
Pastor: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here this afternoon to celebrate a commitment of love, a commitment (Loveth and Emmanuel) believe, is the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Scriptural Reading
This reading is from the book of Genesis 2:18-24
18ÂAnd the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19ÂAnd out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20ÂAnd Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21ÂAnd the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22ÂAnd the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23ÂAnd Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24ÂTherefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Ring Ceremony
Pastor: May we have the rings, please? (ring bearer gives rings)
Pastor: The rings are symbols of the covenant that Emmanuel and Loveth are entering into and establishing this day.
These rings are never-ending circles, indicating the continuing eternal love of God with which you are to love one another. These rings are made of precious metal, one that is not easily tarnished. This represents how valuable and precious your marriage covenant is in God’s sight.
Bless O Lord, these rings that the one who gives it and the one who wears it may live in your peace and continue in your favor, all the days of their life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Emmanuel: Loveth, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Loveth: Emmanuel, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Presentation of the Bible
Pastor: I present to you this Bible, the written Word of God, it is Spirit, it is life; it’s a light to your path. Let this be your guide in life and surely you will be blessed and you will be a blessing to others.
Call to Parents
Pastor: May I request the parents to please stand? In the past, you have known (Loveth and Emmanuel) as individual persons. Now they are joined together in matrimony. Do you give them your blessing as they now commit themselves to one another?
Parents: We do.
Pastor: And while respecting the priority of this new relationship, will you nonetheless assure them of your continuing love, good wishes, and prayers, and will you do all that you can to encourage and affirm them as they live their life together?
Parents: We will
Pastor: I congratulate you for your constant faithfulness and support for (Loveth and Emmanuel) up to this very hour. May that faithfulness remain as long as you live. You may now take a seat.
Charge to Loveth & Emmanuel
Pastor: I charge you Loveth and Emmanuel, to keep this covenant not only as a pledge of faith to each other but also as a promise to God that you will honor the vows you made to Him and one another.
I charge you Emmanuel, to love Loveth just as Jesus Christ loves the Church and gave Himself for it.
I charge you Loveth, to be submissive to Emmanuel, as the Church is obedient to the Lordship of Christ.
